Brighter Kitchen

What a transformation a kitchen remodel can have on an existing dark and heavy space. We removed many of the elements that made this kitchen feel small and closed in. We opened the space by removing the bulkheads and the side wall where the existing refrigerator was located. This was a full kitchen remodel involving removal of the bulkheads and drywall to the studs for new up to code plumbing and electrical. LED Recessed lighting was installed to illuminate a once dim space.  New drywall was hung and finished.

Tile Backsplash and more:

New Diamond Prelude cabinets with Arden door style were installed for a more user-friendly space. Granite counter tops were selected by the customer in color majestic white. A subway tile was selected by the customer for its horizontal lines. An accent boarder of one inch black granite mosaics was selected and charcoal grout finished off the look. To keep the horizontal lines, we turn the electrical receptacles along the backsplash area.

Space Before:

This kitchen has been transformed from oak and neutrals to Bright & White but not without some remodeling pains. Some of those pains were damaged sub flooring from plumbing leaks, additional floor leveling, plumbing and electrical was found after demo in bulkheads, all which added some additional cost.

Appaloosa Kitchen

The customers home had a warm earthy feel with modern touches. They were drawn to a very specific cabinet finish, which is exclusive at Lowes. The cabinets were made of maple wood with a distressed Appaloosa finish, quartz counter tops, natural stone mosaic tile backsplash. The customers asked us to keep their original flooring which is only and option if you keep they same cabinet footprint as they did. This remodel brings an up to date, casual and inviting look to the space.

This is what we classify as a minor kitchen remodel (remove, replace and refresh). Unlike our example of a Minor Kitchen Remodel in our “COST GUIDE” section; most of the customers target budget was spent on special order cabinetry, counter tops and tile backsplash.

Kitchen Before

Oyster Shell Backsplash

We did a simple spruce up on this kitchen with a new tile backsplash, new appliances, and quartz counter tops accented with a under mount stainless steel sink.
After the project was completed; the backsplash and counter tops had turned out so beautiful the homeowners wished they would have replaced the cabinetry as well.

Did You Know:

Hard surface counter tops such as quartz and granite can take up to 4-8 weeks from template to installed. The time is determined by the type of material and the fabrication process. Because there is such a large selection of hard surface products, most need to be ordered and shipped to the fabricator. Some fabricators keep a few popular colors in-stock that can be chosen from. This can cut the frabrication time by half.

Product Info:

Backsplash was Elida Ceramica Volcanic Essence, grout-ed with unsanded white grout. The appliances were Frigidaire Gallery Stainless Steel and black. The counter tops were Allen Roth Sammish with a Moen Anabelle Spot Resistant Stainless pull down faucet to finish off the look.

Kitchen Updates

This customer wanted an update that would keep with the over all look of the homes interior wood trims. The customer also wanted to keep their existing flooring that was newer, this meant keeping the original floor layout of the cabinetry. This is a request we get often and is one of the things we can handle as an experienced remodeling team.

Tile Backsplash and more:

New custom cabinetry was special ordered and installed. New appliances, quartz counter tops and tile backsplash give this kitchen a more updated modern feel. This was classified as a minor kitchen remodel as it was mainly remove and replace, but the cabinetry and countertops to up the larges portion of the over all cost closer to a midrange remodel cost.
